Bio
'll explain my interests, and that'll let you know pretty quickly whether or not we can have a laugh. Consumer electronics have been a passion of mine forevor. I love gadgets and am a total power user of them. I carry a PDA that is not a phone. My phone resides in my other pocket. That's because I use my PDA for David Allen's Getting Things Done, studying Japanese and Mandarin, and listening to music and eLearning so intensely that phone calls coming in on that thing just wouldn't work! I'm so hardcore on my mobile electronics that I'm totally hot for a UMPC right now. Gaming got me started on my biggest and most intense love in life - Japan. I love Japan so much that I feel as if though I have a disease or chemical imbalance about it. I spent over 5 years learning Japanese and then went and lived there for 1 year. God, I could talk about that whole thing for an hour. Given that Japan is a saturated job market and a country in recession, poor me just can't get a decent position over there. So for the past 18 months or so I've been totally psycho about getting to China. I believe that he who plants his stake in Shanghai sometime soon has the potential to be an empire holder in a decade. I'm foaming at the mouth to get back over there after having spent 4 months in 2005 doing an internship with BearingPoint during my IMBA. Pimsleur Mandarin and the pursuit of connecting with consumer electronics marketing and manufacturing insiders in China are some of my daily activities. I like to play tennis... Uh, nothing profound to say about that. Right now I'm in the middle of something I call Project - Get Current. This essentially is a period of time during which I will invest whatever time is necessary to become a regular participant in the communities and on the websites that are referred to as Web 2.0. The pursuit of becoming a user of the tools and a participant in the communities that the web has evolved into is the impetus for updating this page. I am currently updating or creating profiles on all social and professional networking sites relevent to me. I am also reconnecting with everyone in my life and seeking to more fully and permenantly connect with them via online tools. These include things like Twitter, YouTube, MySpace, LinkIn, etc. I also want to become a mobile user of all of these resources by obtaining a UMPC within 12 months. So that's what I'm on about right now. Thanks for checking out my page.
