Bio
Hello fellow crafters!!
Allow me to tell you more about myself and my journey in becoming an Independent Stampin’ up! Demonstrator.
I am a mother to James and devoted wife to Sean who is my biggest supporter in all I do.
I began my journey while James was at high school and I had some major changes in my life. My dream to be a Primary School Teacher had ended as my health and other obstacles prevented me from achieving this goal. Now I needed something to put my energy and creativity into; I began my cardmaking journey in Blenheim after attending a workshop with Tracy to connect with likeminded people and learn new skills and techniques (Which I am still learning, and we can learn together).
I had the disbelief I couldn’t do it; I am not creative, and I am colour challenged and well you may know more ALL excuses used to not give things a go!!! I am telling you can do it!! Why not try one of the kits which as it will have most of what you will need in it.
Then we moved to Invercargill. Sean built our new home and I become an empty nester. So, I lost touch with my monthly fix workshop with Tracy and well I stopped making cards. But recently I was remembering I could still do what I loved and share with others and so began Risk-ey Zone Stamp and my journey as demonstrator. After I contacted Angela from Stamping with Angela and place an order for a few item and she invited me to join he team as a demonstrator. Which I can craft and buy as much or as little as I please and pass my knowledge and skills onto others.
Other hobbies I enjoy are Sewing; I am currently working through learning to sew and make my own patterns, (I got sick and tired of things not fitting well and being uncomfortable), painting and public speaking (LOL) I know I can’t speak (due to a physical issue) but I was involved with Toastmasters up until recently and took on such roles as member VP ED President and onto Area Director and Division Director.
I also enjoy cross stitch and needle work But Stampin’ Up! Is my go-to when I am out of sorts and I need a pick me up I believe the stamping is for every one young, old male and female. It is easy to do, and you don’t need a lot of space. And you can do a good job in 10min to 15mins depending on what you do of course and how detailed you want to be.
Personally, I have spent my adult life faced with challenges around my permanent paralysis and more recently my loss of being able to speak…. but!! This has only motivated me to continue doing what I love and using this as my fuel to stay positive. I also have a large craft room (to the horror of my husband!! But he is wonderful and has a lot of patience and he builds and alters things to assist me with my crafts.
I have a fantastic care support team and husband who encourage me every day to achieve my dreams and goals.
One of my favourite crafts is making cards for groups and individuals, I love using the Stampin' Up tools and now in 2023 I am starting my journey as a Stampin' Up demonstrator.
Come join me either online, or alternatively by booking a session with me to see how you can you use these amazing Stampin tools to create memorable craft and art pieces. It is also a great way to share ideas and experiences!!
Come join me crafting.
