Bio
In May I will turn 65. I still am not sure how the hell that is possible. But in May I will turn 65! I have begun to ask myself, How did I make it to 65? In a blink of an eye: poof here I am! I use to think it was OLD! But nearing this golden age of 65, I realize hey , life is just beginning! I am ready to begin this new CHAPTER in my life. I have been retired for a year and a half. And I love being retired. But the thing about retirement is that each day can become just like the day before if you don't make some goals and start living out your days to be as exciting as you want them to be. So starting today, I am setting goals, planning adventures and thinking about what I want to do. After all retirement is a permanent VACATION! Oh, and all of this while living through the COVID Pandemic! Which will be challenging , but one that I am up to doing! A little back ground on me. I am an End OF Life Doula. That is one accomplishment I did do during the Pandemic. I went through training online at the University of Vermont to learn how to be a EOL Doula. What is this you ask? As a EOL Doula I help individuals with a terminal diagnosis to organize their personal affairs, companion them through their last days and help them make a plan for how they want all of that to look like and making sure it is followed through for them. I find it an honor and privilege to be able to accompany them on this journey. I am also a mother of two adult sons with two beautiful daughter in laws! And the NANA to 5 wonderful, beautiful grandsons! I love to travel and explore new places and have new adventures. I am a amateur photographer, scrap booker and I like to think of myself as a food connoisseur! More often referred to as a Foodie! I love trying new food experiences and enjoy creating some of my own. I enjoy reading and have an eclectic taste in music! Above all, I Love God, My family and my Country! I hope you will follow along with me as I venture into the Golden years and try to forge my own path through the best years of my life so far! I want for others to realize life doesn't stop when we reach the age of 65. Age is just a number. You can live like you want at any age. And I choose to live it my way! AS EXCITING AS possible! So hold on tight and come along for the journey of your life!
