Bio
Just made it into the senior citizen ranks this year, unless you start earlier than 62. Either way I love what I am doing now. This is living. I first started my art training when I was in eighth grade. Why this matters I'm not sure. I attended the American Academy of Art for one year. Too intimidating for me at the time. I'm not easily intimidated any more though. Most of the people attending this school were adults, as you would expect,,, actually I was the only kid. I enjoyed it, but it made me nervous. My intimidation came from being the only kid in an all adult atmosphere. Yep, the life drawing class spooked me. :) After high school, I returned to The Chicago Academy of Fine Art, also downtown Chicago. Again another year and I was off to see the world by way of Uncle Sam. My choice. This is 1969, remember, and the Army needed bodies. So that was the end of any formal art training for me. I ended up working in manufacturing, mostly GM. I really never enjoyed my success in that field, but it paid good. Soooo 43 years later, here I am restarting my first/second career as an artist. Am I a good artist? I don't know, that remains to be seen. Bottom line,,, I am really enjoying this new lifestyle and that's what counts. Mostly I paint Landscapes. I love painting in oil's and in watercolor's. I hope you enjoy my work. Let me know what you think please!
God Bless and take care.
