Bio
I'm a Chicago native of first-generation Serbian-American descent. I was raised in the Serbian Orthodox Church, and my love of its high degree of ceremonialism mixed with folk religion and an inner-oriented, contemplative bent towards the Mystical strongly--and ironically, it would seem--drove me squarely into the bosom of Polytheistic Paganism.
As did my love of poetry, from the Homeric Hymns to the Romantic outpourings of Coleridge, Shelley, and Poe. I graduated Summa cum laude from North Park University in Chicago with a B.A. in English with a Minor in Philosophy. I hold an M.A. in English degree from Loyola University Chicago. My path to Priestesshood led to the culmination in 2012 of being ordained a legally licensed Pagan Priestess with the Fellowship of Isis. I joyously serve the Chicago Pagan community and beyond under the auspices of the Goddesses Nebet-Het (Nephthys to the Greeks), Sekhmet, and Hekate Khthonia, the Three to Whom I have pledged lifelong adoration. I am also a Certified Death Midwife, helping the dying birth themselves into the Spirit World.
I'm proud to announce that I'm a published author. Follow my Amazon author page at: https://www.amazon.com/author/rev._anna_applegate.
Additionally, I make and sell devotional / ritual jewelry for discerning Polytheists, Pagans, and Witches. You can find my Etsy shop at
