Bio
I was a little mad scientist when I was a kid. Got interested in electronics at an opportune time. Worked at Burroughs (remember them old-timers?) when their mainframes were hot. Taught me lots about computer hardware in the days when you could literally walk around inside the guts of a CPU. Switched to aerospace in the early days of VLSI when it was all government funded R&D. We had to build the tools before we could build the chips. Even worked on some WSI (Wafer Scale Integration) - got a working prototype of a system on a 2 by 3 inch chip in 1990, so cool. Later switched to running a design center for an ASIC company, which involved a lot of business development on top of the technical stuff. Worked hard, saved my money, made boring investments, and retired at age 45. Now living in Thailand - sublime.
