Bio
Since starting this blog late October, 2013, my aim has not been to turn the world vegan (although that would be wonderful), but to be an entertaining, accurate platform for information on healthier lifestyles and nutrition in general, and to make people a little more conscious about their choices. And since qualifying as a Certified Hippocrates Health Educator, from the Hippocrates Health Institute, Florida, (April 2014) I have become even more evangelical; if everyone who reads my blog changes just one thing for the better, then I'm fulfilling my mission.
I started out as a PR in London in 1997, but found the entire experience empty and unfulfilling. That's not to say it is, but it didn't hit the spot for me. I then retrained to be a journalist and worked on a flagship regional newspaper for seven years, writing a lot of restaurant reviews, as well as features on motors, fashion and property. When potential redundancy loomed, I went to live in and travel around New Zealand and Australia for six months, which is where I was bitten by the healthy living bug - they do it all so much better out there.
I've been a devotee of Bikram yoga since 2009, practising on average three times a week. I am currently single, and share my home with my beautiful Burmese cat, Eric Louise, who, like me, enjoys a daily double dose of wheatgrass (finely chopped for him). If it's good enough for me...
