Bio
I started my original Shoulder Diary blog, http://shoulderdiary.wordpress.com , after a bad fall down a steep embankment at a local park in 2010, sustaining five fractures in my upper arm and shoulder. It was repaired with ORIF surgery (Open Reduction, Internal Fixation.), followed by many months of physical therapy. Although I do not post often, I read messages, and there are plenty of people posting on the blog. http://shoulderdiary.wordpress.com is still an active blog
In 2011 I started a new blog - mytinypeople.wordpress.com - to feature close-up photographs of my HO Scale diorama (Christmas or Winter Village) set in the early 1900's. I host a number of history and genealogy sites, primarily with The USGenWeb Project, and am passionate about historic preservation. For years I have collected vintage postcards, and now offer high resolution restored digital images for publications, documentaries, and print.
Even with a busy work schedule, I try to make time to be outdoors and enjoy nature and physical activity. There's nothing more restorative than than a brisk walk with the wind in the trees and a favorite song on my iPod. I love the wildlife, too, and learn so much just by sitting back and observing.
