Bio
Gordon Kelly is a London, UK based writer and journalist specialising in technology, music and film. He works freelance for TrustedReviews, BBC Focus, Stuff, Wired and Mens’ Health amongst others, produces copyrighting for international organisations and teaches courses in media relations.
Gordon was previously News Editor at TrustedReviews.com where he established the news section and helped it grow from a small start up to one of the country’s largest technology sites with over 2 million unique visitors per month. In 2007 TrustedReviews was acquired by IPC Media.
Gordon began his career at VNU (now Incisive Media) as a Reporter on industry title Computer Reseller News (CRN). During his time there Gordon was promoted to Senior Reporter and featured in the Press Gazette (the industry paper for journalists nationwide) for his investigations into distributors’ anti-competitive behaviour. He was also ranked amongst the top four most influential IT journalists in the country.
In what little spare time he has Gordon is a film buff, guitarist and keen motorbike rider. He also works on a novel which has garnered interest from a number of publishing heavyweights and the BBC.
Academically Gordon attained a First Class Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Essex and a Master of Arts in American Studies (specialising in literature and politics) from the University of Nottingham.
Trivia about Gordon: he loves the city but was brought up riding horses in the countryside, suffers the horrors of supporting Newcastle United and never tires of being asked: “But you don’t have a Geordie accent?”
