Bio
A native of Michigan, Greg Parkes studied at Cornell University. After service in the US Navy, he operated several successful small businesses while serving for ten years on the Iroquois Central School Board in Elma NY. A skilled cabinetmaker and sailor, he now lives in Alden NY with his wife, younger daughter, and a medium- sized hound with species identity issues.
His published works include a family history entitled 257 Grandfathers, a previously unpublished memoir of Henry Rowe Schoolcraft (1793-1864), and two novels, A Most civil War: A Novel of Washington's Other Spies, and Toward Home: The Schoolcraft Saga Begins, released in late summer 2018.
