Bio
I'm a person filled with wonder and thankfulness at the *extravagant* kindnesses of God -- and I'd love to share that with you! I, "Grace", have been "graced" by God ~ with His outrageous love, His compassions ("new every morning"), and with His "grace" -- that is, a desire to give to others as He has given me: to give mercy to the unmerciful, kindness to the unkind, and forgiveness to the unforgiving.
I enjoy God's creativity, especially in the outdoors, whether while walking with friends, gardening in the backyard, or journaling in a quiet setting and pondering His greatness! Some of my "favorite" things include hanging out with God, reading His Word, and endeavoring to make practical the things He teaches me each day. If something you read here is especially "down to earth" (and I pray that is the case), it is only because He has visited me throughout the day as I'm reviewing His early-morning or late-night thoughts!
In addition to creating with words (which can take any one of numerous forms, including blogging, writing poetry, or sending encouraging or thought-provoking e-mails), I also enjoy creativity as seen through the lens of a simple camera, through writing music, garden design, in the combination and presentation of ingredients in the kitchen, and... *most* of all, through imagining what God would love to do "next" in the lives of the people I know. (It's so much harder to imagine what He might want to do through me...)
Prayer -- that is *both* talking to AND listening to God -- is of the highest priority in my life -- equal to "hanging out" with Him and reading His thoughts (in Scripture). In these last 9-10 years -- **years**! -- in particular, He has done ***miraculous*** things in my life! He DOES keep His promises! It's TRUE!
My life experiences include music, education (in the States as well as in Asia), manufacturing, legal work, and consumer services (retail and insurance sectors), though the one "constant" has been God's Word -- reading, pondering, studying, memorizing, trying to apply it daily -- and serving Him with the gifts He's given me. I so long to offer Him every ability that I have, all so that one day, when I stand before Him, I can hear His dear voice saying those beautiful words, "Well done, My faithful servant!"
When people ask me my "favorite verse" of Scripture, it's nearly impossible to pin it down to just one or two... Nevertheless, I'll try to do that very thing right here: I love -- and that is the right word -- Paul's powerful, all-encompassing doxology at the end of Romans, chapter 11, verses 33-36, and which is continued into Romans, chapter 12. It starts like this:
"O, the depth of the riches ("riches"!) of the wisdom and knowledge of GOD!
How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out! (but I, and we, still like to *try* to "figure out" God!)
For who has known the mind of the LORD?
Or who has been *His* counselor? (what a question!)
...and Romans chapter 11 ends like this:
"...for of Him, and through Him, and to Him are ALL things. To Him (God) be the glory FOREVER (which is longer than "long")! Amen!
