Bio
I am married to Tamera Terndrup for 34 years and we have two children. We also have two labs that make us feel like gods. I have been teaching biology for 29 years and consider it the perfect job for me. I love to experience the outdoors, especially by whitewater kayaking, mountain biking and hiking. I'm always learning by listening to podcasts, reading and conversing. My motivation to learn is fueled by awe of the world we live in. Einstein summed up my view of awe when he said “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." Because I believe that life is a miracle, I want to explore it fully and hold an ongoing dialog of what we find. Of interest to me is the biological world, and I am especially intrigued by the mind. I say this because I've come to realize that until we become watchers of our minds, we are unknowing actors in the stories that our minds dictate each day.
