Bio
I have grown up eating food that comes from within few miles from home. We are the 3rd generation of farmers in the family. Summers for me were spent eating some of the freshest heirloom mangoes, which were grown on our farm and ripened on the roof of our house and picking vegetables to be made for dinner from our backyard. Till today my grandparents make their biogas with compost collected from our cattle which is using as fuel for cooking. Even though at present I live in the city back in India, my family tries hard to source food which is local and organic. Grains and spices are brought back from the village where we do four crop rotations a year and milk comes daily from the dairy few hundred feet away from home. We grind all our spices and make our own clarified butter.
