Bio
Graduate in Social Anthropology from SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies in London) . Harriet is a social entrepreneur and believes in the importance of individual empowerment on issues related to caring. She established iCaring.co.uk in 2009 she is also currently involved in two projects. Shared Passions is a project that is big on establishing cooperative services in communities. Currently working with NUS ULU and the University of Arts London Student Union, collectively they are promoting active participation between higher education and their surrounding communities. “We can bring together the skills set and voices of higher education back into the services of our communities and this will lead to improving quality and variety in caring roles.” Harriet NUS Disability conference 2011.
Harriet is also involved in a small ethical British wool production company. The label Harry Snuggle is active in the campaign wool and is dedicated to promoting British fashion by using British merino and cashmere wool.
