Bio
I bring a life full of experience to my work as a Somatic Psychotherapist. My background includes work in athletic performance/fitness, NFP work with underserved youth, Zen Buddhism, Hospice counseling, Judaism, the arts and a whole lot of play. I work in my practice with individuals, children, couples and families in matters of psychosomatic wellbeing, athletic and scholastic behavior and performance, depression, trauma, Autism, relationship issues and spiritual health.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in the notion that we as people are living out lives in our bodies which include our brain, nervous system, muscle, bone and skin. What does this mean for you as a client? It means that I listen to you, I watch you sit, move smile or cry. While paying great attention to what you are saying and how you are saying it with your entire body, I help you develop self awareness and the possibility of creating the life changes you seek.
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist MFT#91092
My areas of specialty include:
depression/anxiety/trauma
couples counseling
learning differences
life transitions
Athletic and performance coaching
Spiritual well being
