Bio
Heidi Dickens was born in Virginia and is a native of the beautiful New River Valley. She received both her B.A. and M.S. from Radford University and continued her education at Virginia Tech, receiving a Ph.D. in 2016. Heidi has taught middle school math and science and coordinated gifted programs in Virginia public schools since 1989. She began focusing on faculty development and the integration of educational technology to support pedagogical innovations early in her teaching career. Currently she can be found (still in the New River Valley) consulting with faculty and friends as they navigate the new media ecology, gardening, cycling, and spending time with family.
