Bio
Burkely Hermann has worked across many institutions, whether non-profits (National Security Archive, Maryland Humanities, and Public Citizen), government archives (National Archives and Maryland State Archives), public libraries (Enoch Pratt Free Library), educational institutions (Digital Curation and Innovation Center), and elsewhere (Office of Research Administration). He also completed his MLIS degree in December 2019, specializing in Archives and Digital Curation, at University of Maryland, and received a Bachelor of Arts, in May 2016, majoring in Political Science and minoring in History, from St. Mary's College of Maryland. He is presently a member of the Society of American Archivists and American Library Association. He served on his apartment community's board of directors as secretary and records manager. He currently serves on the board of his local library friend's group and contributes to local history through an organization named Baltimore Heritage an has been a judge for National History Day since 2017. He runs seven WordPress blogs which focus on archives and libraries in pop culture, or on his personal family history.
