Bio
I worked from 1983 to 2003, (mostly) as a Graphic Artist, Designer, Creative Director, Graphics Project Manager and Cartoonist, living in San Diego, California.
In July of 2003 I returned to school to earn a Teaching Credential and Masters in Education, completed in December 2009.
In September 2005 I took a 3-year break from school to facilitate the completion of the Graphics work at the largest Public Relations firm in San Diego. This lasted until October 2008, when the economy tanked, at which time I was one of a small group of employees to be downsized. I immediately re-enrolled in School, completed the classes and student teaching needed for my credential in 2009.
After substitute teaching in the Poway School District for the 2009-10 school year, I was hired and taught for 3 years at Kearny High School, (August 2010 through June 2013), then a few years as a substitute until August 2015 when I became the full-time Art and Design Teacher at Creative Performing Media Arts Middle School.
Having no more use of the domain for my freelance Graphics business, I felt called to change the focus of this URL (HISwork.com) to promote ministry, primarily in the form of a blog.
The two primary outlets for all the ideas I get for tee shirt designs are tee shirt brands: "JAHwho" for Christian-related shirts, and "WingNutz" for the secular ideas that, while will be in good taste, but may not fit into the Christian genre.
I have three children from two (unsuccessful) marriages, and am blessed to still be a part of their lives.
