Bio
I am a retired Humanities school teacher from Western Canada who now resides in the North Okanagan region of the province of beautiful British Columbia in Canada. My home, which I share with my wife Barbea, backs onto the forest so one might say that we live 'in the bush' where our most frequent visitors are any of the following: deer, black bear, moose, cougar, coyotes, etc. with the 2 most popular being deer and black bear.
Living where I do, my summers include boating, water skiing, fishing, removing trees, making wood, gardening and chasing the bears away from my grape vines. During the winter, I shovel snow, build things in my workshop, shovel snow, carry wood, shovel snow, make wine, shovel snow, read, shovel snow, watch TV sports, shovel snow, write, shovel snow ................ but often my wife and I travel to various places to get away from the snow. I like to write when away from my home or when travelling ................... there are too many chores to do and too many distractions when I am at home.
I love to travel to places which are steeped in history. This gives me the opportunity to learn more about the places I visit. I have especially enjoyed my trips to Europe, to the Mediterranean, to Russia, to Turkey and across Canada. There are still many places on my 'bucket' list.
