Bio
Hi, I’m Nykki! I’m a wife and homeschooling momma who loves Jesus and all things feminine. Prior to becoming a full-time homeschool mom in 2013, I was a mental health counselor in private practice. I also served for 9 years as a women’s ministry leader, a Bible teacher, and small group leader to women at my former church until February 2015.
I’m a voracious reader who likes to write. In addition to being an avid–albeit sporadic–blogger, I hope to write a full-length book some day. In February 2013, I published my first eBook, All My Single Ladies: The Secret to Finding a Worthy Man, which is available for purchase on Amazon. In June 2013, my first scholarly journal article, “The Use of the Concept of New Identity in Christ in Counseling Young Men With Sexual Addiction”, was published in Testamentum Imperium, an online theological journal.
I absolutely love to sing and am fiercely passionate about worshipping Jesus through song. Since April 2015, I’ve been blessed to be a part of a dynamic group of backing vocalists for Contemporary Gospel artist, Latia Johnson. Prior to this, I had the honor and privilege to assist with leading worship at my former church for 9 years. During this journey, God provided an opportunity to become an independent Contemporary Gospel singer/songwriter, ministering under the pseudonym, Nicole Danielle. I wrote and recorded a solo album, I Worship You, which debuted in May 2009 (available on iTunes and Amazon).
I just love Jesus and His Word! I tend to be pretty outspoken and, as a deep thinker, I generally have an opinion about lots of things. Much of my pontificating about womanhood and things relevant to it, as well as the Bible, will find it’s way here to Her.Space.Between. Feel free to join in on my cyber-dialogue via the comments.
