Bio
My personal development, professional background and education has provided me with extensive organizational and managerial experience. Over the past year and a half I have traveled to four continents and thirty-four countries. I have learned about myself and the different cultures of the world. My understanding and interpretation of people and different cultures is no longer defined by mass media but by personal interactions and life changing experiences. This has significantly improved my interactions with people of different personalities and cultures in both the organization and in client interactions.
My tenure at the top employment law firm in the US has allowed me to establish department wide processes and procedures and allowed for active involvement in the formulation of graphical standards for global training materials. I was the primary person responsible for designing training templates using Adobe Photoshop. Using department standards I ensured that statutory training requirements were met and revised programs as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the organizational environment. I continuously kept up to date with EEOC statistics and legal requirements to develop up to date, interactive, and relevant training content.
I have served as a management consultant where I extensively researched Emotional Intelligence as it relates to education. More specifically the programs compared corporate hierarchical structures to relevant parties in education such as administrative staff, counselors, administrators and the school board. Forecasting opportunities for additional training beyond scope of initial training was required in order to design on topic trainings and create opportunities for additional training. It was necessary to consider cost vs. content when developing the content because return on investment is being increasingly considered by organizations when purchasing train-the-trainer and outsourced training sessions.
My bachelor’s education cultivated my organizational communication and public speaking abilities. While fostering my inept ability to empathize and communicate both professionally and effectively in a diverse population. Combined with my graduate education I am equipped with the necessary analytical skills required in public sector and non-profit content development, training and program development. I believe the skills and knowledge I am currently acquiring through enrollment in a MS in instructional design and technology program will add significant value to my experience.
