Bio
My name is Heather. I am a wife, mother, cosmetologist, and have an eclectic soul. Which means I have a lot of things to share from my life's journey. I have been married for twenty-six years to my husband, whom I met in a church membership class. He had a five-year old son when we got married. We had three children together. We are a blended family. It's funny, because our oldest son was in our wedding, and when our younger three would look at our wedding album, they could not, for the life of them, figure out why our oldest got to be in the wedding and they did not.
Our oldest son is thirty-two, married and has four children. Our next oldest daughter is twenty-four, a cosmetologist, who works in the same salon as I do, and works part-time in at-risk youth ministry. Our next son is twenty-three, and an engineer that works for a company whose product line features outdoor recreational vehicles. Our youngest daughter is twenty, and is a junior in college majoring is Kinesiology and takes classes like black-magic anatomy. I stayed home when I had my children and homeschooled our three younger ones until I went back to work in the salon. Our oldest daughter was graduated, our youngest son was a junior in high school and our youngest daughter was in eighth grade.
I have been through a lot of life experiences that have taught me so much and I have a lot of different interests. I picked up blogging to share some of that knowledge with other kindred souls.
My husband and I are not quite empty nesters, we have our two daughters still at home, but we are starting to enter that phase of our lives. I would like to share our journey as we transition into living with the two of us. It should be interesting, because since we have been married, we have never had a time in our marriage without children. So, learning to live with just the two of us and engaging in life will be an interesting learning adventure.
I'm an eclectic soul. There will be lots to choose from!
Heather
