Bio
Rob Streetman came into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at age 12. He wandered from the church during his teenage and young adult life, protected by God’s grace and patience. In 1984, Rob recommitted his life fully to the Lord during an intense encounter with Him at the kitchen table in his home. This began an adventure that will continue throughout eternity – walking in step with the Holy Spirit and exchanging his life for Christ’s.
For this season in his life, the Lord has called Rob from the corporate world to full time ministry with Proactive Evangelism Ministries. His calling is to glorify the Lord by supporting the transformation and growth of Christian Ministries and Businesses through the spiritual and practical application of Biblical principles. His passion is to see Christian leaders set free from the striving that creates frustration and discouragement, into joyful, exciting Spirit-filled ministry.
Rob worked in the Information Technology field of the Financial Services Industry for 25 years – most of those with SunTrust Bank. The last 15 years of his career were spent in various Senior Management roles – researching, planning, and implementing new technologies and advanced technology management practices. He has helped lead major organizational transformation efforts and served as an internal consultant to many of SunTrust’s business lines and corporate functions. He left SunTrust at the end of 2005 as a First Vice President.
Rob’s ministry experience includes: Youth Ministry Coordinator, Certified Lay Speaker and Lay Leader in the United Methodist Church; Board Chairman for Proactive Evangelism Ministries; and, Strategic Planning Director for a newly planted United Methodist congregation. He has also taught Sunday School, led Small Groups and preached, on occasion. He currently serves New River Community Church as the Elder Board Chairman. In early 2006, he was blessed to fill in for the Senior Pastor, who was hospitalized and home-bound. It was during this time that the LORD began to impress Rob with His desire to do something powerful with the Body of Christ in America. The Holy Spirit has gifted Rob in the areas of administration, teaching, wisdom, stewardship and leadership; all for the Lord’s glory and the edification of His children.
Rob and his wife, Beth, live with their two children in Winston, GA. Sarah is a senior at Landmark Christian School and Matthew is a 7th grade home school student. Rob’s hobbies include reading, cycling, hiking, traveling and otherwise enjoying the Lord’s great outdoors.
