Bio
I am 41 years old. I have a wife and three children. My wife is Japanese, and originally from Wakayama, Japan. My three girls are 11, 8, and 5. I have a PhD in Electrical/Optical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA.
I am a Research Engineer and enjoy innovating, whether for a specific technical task, to establish a new technology, or to raise a family. I believe in the power of distributed innovation, whether for engineering reasons or political reasons. This blog is an attempt to create an online distributed innovation movement.
My daughters are interested in acting and singing, ballet, swimming, gymnastics, and learning Japanese.
My hobbies include reading, the facts around evolution, basic woodworking, raising kids, learning new cooking methods, interior design for look and organization, fitness and nutrition, and dog-training. I am not expert in any of these, but enjoy the process...
