Bio
Since my childhood, years have passed with me wondering what I could possibly do to change the word and give myself a way to feel useful. In turns, I wished I was a journalist to denounce and share hidden truths, an archaeologist to understand the past and clarify the present time, a teacher because children are the essence of tomorrow. I became none of that. Obviously, I could say I failed. But I would be wrong. I´ve discovered a new tool, that I wear like I would wear glasses : photography. Wherever I can be, whatever the time, or the mood I´m in, I see great shots everywhere : a man jumping out of a boat, a shadow on a wall, a look between two strangers, a building taking a sunbath.. They are 'just' daily spots. We could say that, yeah. But they ARE, at the very moment you catch them, not even one second before or later they would have been the same. I feel glad each time that I catch those moments, they are rare because they are unique. Each part of a city or a man has this power inside. Power of beauty. When I was 14, I went to Ireland, I have been hosted by an Irish Family without children. They treated me as their own daughter and gave me away a very interesting gift. Although I was only 14, and I was having difficulties understanding English, I received a tiny book, not bigger than the palm of my hand nor larger than a finger, untitled ''The precious present'' written by Dr. Spencer Johnson. This book was telling the story of a young child seeking all his life for the Precious Present that according to an old man would make him happy forever. Then, it took me more than a decade and I´m still on my way, I slowly started to wonder ''Why would I give so much energy to change the world ?''. They are very bad things going on here, none can deny it, some infuriate me. Fortunately, we have got thousands of people taking care of the necessary changes this world needs, I´m grateful we have them. But it has not been my way. '' What if I am not someone trying to fulfill the half empty glass but instead trying to focus and make focus on the plain part of it ?''... Well, I guess and I bet that my journey has started in that far Ireland, along which photography has now become my partner.
