Bio
Suffice to say I'm 71, don't own a car or a TV or any fancy gadgets (though I do get by with two rather elderly computers which I maintain myself), am housebound because of difficulties with walking, though can still manage around the house with aid of a walking stick, and am stuck with a slow Internet connection because I can't afford DSL (Broad-band).
So what do I do with my time? Well, I read when I can - thrillers, spy stories, science fantasy, horror, detective fiction, that sort of thing. And I adore role playing games be-cause in virtual reality I can walk fast and run and jump and leap - physical things I can no longer do in life. Plus RPGs give me the chance to be a hero and kill nasty evil mon-sters (the speed of my trigger finger ain't bad for an old girl) - just like the stories that, while lying in bed after my mother turned off the light so I could no longer read, I made up as a child for hours before I fell asleep.
But above all else I'm a thinker. I think for hours about anything and everything - inclu-ding all the things I research on the Web - and my, how time flies. One minute it's after-noon and the next it's midnight. And then I'm reluctantly forced to think of what to stoke the body with so I can live for another day. Boring!
So I guess that makes me a 71-year-old, financially and physically challenged woman, with aspirations to be a hero and to save the world from evil by playing RPGs and think-ing a lot!
Oh, and I guess I should mention that I often look up at the sky and wonder about all those strange and unnatural cloud formations up there. And the milky haze that covers the sky when it seems at first glance to be perfectly blue. And the thick white mist that almost completely covers the sun and distorts and discolours its rays. I wonder and wonder.
And then I wonder why so many people have been sick so often this year. Are the clouds and the mist and the sickness connected, I wonder? Do you wonder too? Or haven't you noticed? There. Now I've given YOU something to think about. If you haven't already.
Well, I guess that's enough about me. Make of it what you will...
Wishing all of you good health and joy
