Bio
My name is Adam Gislason and I currently live in Otsego, Minnesota. I grew up in Buffalo, MN and attended a Lutheran church through the 8th grade, then went to a Covenant church from 9-12th grade, attended Bethel College from 1986-1990, attended a conservative Lutheran church about the time the ELCA went really liberal from 1991-1995, then became part of a Lutheran cell church from 1996-2004 and in that process went wildly charismatic into the New Apostolic Reformation/Word of Faith Movement, then came back to the Evangelical Free Church from 2004-March 2008. I was a Senior Pastor from 2002-2008 (Non-Denominational and Evangelical Free Church)
Great Adventure Ministries is an independent, non-denominational grass roots discernment ministry that started in May 2008 with a group of men meeting in a garage in Buffalo, Minnesota out of great concern for the false teachings/movements that have been coming into the Christian church over the past several years. The Bible clearly states that in the last days, some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons (1 Timothy 4:1).
It is our hope to (1) warn the church of these false teachings/movements (2) provide resources for discernment (3) help people undstand the times that we live in as they relate to Bible prophesy (4) bring Christians back into obedience to Jesus Christ and the written Word of God which all Christian doctrine and teaching should be derived and (5) promote the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth which is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).
The vision of Great Adventure Ministries is to understand the times, to be watchmen on the wall and to contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 1). False teaching is alive and well in many churches today. The truth is under attack like never before. Current world events/Bible prophesy are accelerating with incredible speed.
