Bio
John Vogelmeier is a Senior Executive Manager with 25 years of experience in food and beverage casino, country club, restaurant, and hotel operations. Extensive background in culinary arts, development, kitchen design, construction, operations and finances.
As Corporate Director of Food and Beverage Operations for Hyatt Hotels Corporation, I led the initiative in developing and implementing nationwide food service programs for two multi-unit Hyatt hotel brands, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House (formerly Hyatt Summerfield Suites). While at Hyatt, I aslo worked exclusively with franchise owners, operators and management groups helping in transitioning their hotel from ground up or re-purposing an exisiting building. I was the techinical expert on foodservice design criteria and equipent selections. Working with First Hospitality Group, I worked directly with IHG, Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt brands.
In the Senior Living category, I led many initiatives at Vi, (fromerly known as Classic Residence by Hyatt) including negotiating a new GPO contract, implementing a state of the art POS system for both Kitchens and dining rooms-fundamentally changing the way resients are served, launched a private label wine with two varietals featuring resident artwork, and several comapny wide food service marketing programs,. Additionally, I re-branded several cafes under the Cafe Biscotti umbrella, and worked directly with architect to design the food service outlets at Vi at Bentley Village featuring a Mediteranean open kitchen restaurant, Fine Dining restaurant featuring a 800 bottle wine room, and an upscale dining restaurant.
