Bio
I retired from the Kansas City Police Department after 25 years service in 1996. I graduated form the UMKC School of Law in 2000. I practice law today. Over the past 5-6 years I produced 3 documentary films. The topics of the first two were Missouri/Kansas Civil War era events. The third documentary, and most recent, was Gangland Wire. This film documented a well known series of events that started in Kansas City, Missouri led to Chicago and ended in Las Vegas. Gangland Wire is the back story behind the popular Scorsese film, Casino. I use clips from the film to give talks about La Cosa Nostra organized crime problems. I used Appypie to create a popular app titled Kansas City Mob Tour. This app guides the user on a tour of famous Kansas City crime scenes, historical houses of criminals and other mob related locations. I began the true crime podcast. Gangland Wire, in February of 2015. I record in the studio of the internet radio show, Big Dumb Fun Show. the creator of the BDFS, Aaron Gnirk, is my co-host for Gangland Wire
