Bio
Jen Lighty is the steward of The Pleasure Garden, a priestess of the floating world, a devotee of butterflies, a pilgrim, a poet of the present moment with ears tuned to birdsong at first light. She is a seeker, an evening star, an apprentice to ants and the pollen path of bees who find flowers in the desert. She walks in beauty, she gives herself to the water, she receives. As priestess-poet she aligns herself with the night and all who dwell in the shadows, she is a deer woman standing at the edge of a meadow. She has held milkweed in the palm of her hand until the wind took it. She is a seed. Author of Siren, Bluebell: The Apocalypse Diary, and Breaking Up With The Moon, published in 2016 by Finishing Line Press. She has created many innovative workshops incorporating creative expression through writing dance, song, and connection to the elements through direct experience, beginning on Block Island, RI, where she lived for many years. She currently lives in Bacalar, Mexico where she offers aquatic bodywork ceremonies in La Laguna de Los Siete Colores. She is the creator of Aqua Odyssey Retreats, a journey home over water through music, movement and water rebirthing. For more information see www.aquaodyssey.com.
