Bio
Hi! My name is Jessica Tews Montgomery, and I recently graduated from BYU-Idaho where I studied Communications. My hometown is Filer, Idaho which is just outside of Twin Falls, Idaho. I live on a farm and I LOVE the country lifestyle!
I am an outdoorsy person. I love to four-wheeler, waterski and wake board, ride horses, and have bonfires. I also like to read, play the piano, and play basketball.
My family means the world to me and I enjoy spending time with them doing just about anything we can think of. I love my husband, Stetson. He is my very best friend and we have so many fun adventures together.
Basketball has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My first gift from my dad was a pair of newborn retro Jordan basketball shoes. Ball handling practice for me began as soon as I could walk and team play started in 2nd grade. Since then:
• Preston AAU Travel Team, 4 years
• Utah Flight Club basketball, 2 years (played in Seattle, Phoenix, Los Angelos, Las Vegas)
• Utah Nike Showcase, 2008
• Preston High Varsity, sophomore/junior
• State Tournament, junior year
• Filer High Varsity, senior
• State Tournament, senior year
• 3A District Player of the Year
• Valedictorian--4.0 gpa (Yes, being a good student is important also.)
• College Basketball--Big Bend Community College 2011-12
• BYU Idaho...still playing intermural
• Head Coach Men's Competitive League
• Assistant Coach Men's Competitive League
BEST PART OF ALL:
• This will be my 7th year running TEWS SCHOOL OF BASKETBALL!!!!!
I feel blessed to still be involved with this great sport! I look forward to another great year and to helping your student develop basketball skills.
