Bio
I am a Senior Priest and disciple of Kyoki Roberts, head priest of Zen center of Pittsburgh. I received ordination in 2005 and completed the Head Novice Ceremonies in 2009 under the guidance of Rev. Master Eko Little, former monk and Abbot of Shasta Abbey. In February 2011 during a formal ceremony, I received the brown cloth moving towards Shiho, Dharma transmission, or the authority to teach one's own with the support of one’s teacher and larger Buddhist community. I am deeply grateful for these supporting teachers, I have known for the past 16 years: Daien Bennage; Nonin Chowaney; Michael Little, Rev. Master Shiko Rom; the Monastic Community of Shasta Abbey, Shohaku Okamura; Dosho Port; and Ani Tsultrim Palmo. My current practice is koan introspection with Dosho Port, Wild Fox Zen, Minnesota. I have degrees in music, dance, physical therapy, and certification as an Alexander Technique teacher.
