Bio
I have been married for 45 years to Jerita Harper with 16 grandchildren eight boys and eight girl's and four children. I love to play my Martin guitar and singing. I also consider myself a pretty fair photographer. I was involved in an automobile accident 28 years ago that began an odyssey that has added up to 52 surgeries including two pancreas transplants, a stem cell transplant which came after three rounds of chemo therapy which was used to help insure the lymphoma would not come back. The lymphoma was caused by the immunosuppression drugs that I had to take to keep my body from rejecting the new pancreas transplant. After after the cancer. I still had several surgeries on my lower bowel which had been compromised by the tumor on the lower bowel system. In 1999, just two years after I finally beat the cancer I found myself at 18,500 feet on Mount Everest. This was one of my life my lifelong dreams dreams and I finally made it. I am a survivor. The damage that was done to my intestine was extensive and to this point I have had 52 surgeries to repair the damage.
I am at the Cleveland clinic right now I came in for surgery to repair the fistula a fistula on the fifth then had to turn around with another surgery on the 12th of October. All of this surgery and hospitalization simply strengthened our resolve and faith in Jesus Christ. My blog intertwines my Life through my Family and through my faith and love of Jesus Christ. I have been blessed with many wonderful and interesting life events. I will weave them all into a story about who Johnnie Harper is and what happened along the way. I have lots of stories , both humorous and inspirational. I look forward to having you follow my blog.
