Bio
Please join me in advocating for justice and bringing light to some of the darkness that goes on within our justice and foster care systems.
It's my goal to advocate for justice and bring forth real change. I have seen the problems that are affecting our youth and our communities. I have seen the abuse that goes on within the system. In fact, I have experienced the abuse--I lived in the foster homes and witnessed monsters who seek to rob youth of their innocence. And above all, I have been in the system where black men and women are labeled nothing more than inmates. I wish people knew that over 90% of these men and women will return to their communities; hence, the treatment they receive will invariably impact the way they return.
My past is not perfect, Yet as a young black man, I have decided that I will rise up and inspire other youth. I have decided that I will make change and lead rather than follow. I have realized that I can not change my past, but I can change my future.
Today, I spend my time studying law, working on a small business (Secure Administrative Services), and writing a memoir.
I refuse to give up. I refuse to sit around and do nothing. I enjoyed reading, writing, laughing, and learning about criminal justice.
