Bio
Katia Singletary has always been interested in photography.
Born and raised in Brittany, France, she was surrounded by the beauty and wonders of the medieval historic city of Fougeres, allowing her to develop a visual appreciation for everything around her.
At the age of 20, she chose to move to the United States to come to work. She developed a love for photography, as she loves taking photos and images to record moments, to capture history.
She decided to pursue her childhood dream and enroll at the Art Institute where she received her BFA. She is a very cultured and traveled woman and has seen a lot of the world.
She has been inspired by many photographers of her generation and has launched her career as a Freelance writer and photographer through being published in Firefighter Nation. She is an active contributor to stock photography companies like Tandem, Agefotostock and Vwpics.
Katia Singletary works as a photojournalist and writer for different publications. She produces very professional, engaging, and informative pieces. Along with taking assignments, part of her duties are to find topics that residents and non-resident would find interesting, whether it relates to families, kids, couples, the local community, and beyond. Her readers represent some of the most affluent people in the North Carolina area.
She is very creative, diligent, and readers always excited to see what she brings to the table.
Katia balanced life as a single mother with three children. Currently she resides in Durham, NC with her three children.
