Bio
Thanks to modeling I have been very fortunate to travel the world. Not as a tourist but as someone spending large amounts of time living and working as a local. This is the best way to really discover a culture: by being part of it. I ate locally and shopped locally, sometimes I came across foods I had never eaten before, and was always curious to discover new tastes. This experience enabled me to bring back exotic recipes and adapt them to the style of cooking I think is becoming extremely popular: Great tasting and healthy food, simple, more veg less meat and easy to prepare at home with ingredients sourced locally and responsibly. This is a trend that is growing.
I also attended The Institute of Integrative Nutrition School in New York City, which gave me vast insight into nutrition and overall wellbeing by learning how to care for yourself from the inside out. We learned almost every type of diet and cooking style, enabling us to take something from every culture and cuisine and create a balance that is individualized.
I am not a strict vegetarian, I dont like to be labeled. I believe in listening to your own body and finding what’s right for you. But I believe it is clear that less fast food, less meat and processed foods and more local, organic vegetables, and cooking for yourself (so you can be truly knowledgeable and understand what goes into your body), is key to live a healthy life, all the while enjoying great tasting food.
I have been cooking, researching and experimenting with healthy, simple plant and whole grain based cuisine for over a decade now. I know my body and my mind more then I ever have. I am able to listen to it when it needs something rather than when it wants something. But I don’t sacrifice great taste in the process. Taste is always at the forefront along with health and simplicity. I believe this is something I can teach and share with other like-minded people.
Enjoying the art of healthy cooking and eating is something I want to share, so others can derive as much joy and fulfillment as I do.
