Bio
Smooth as a pebble, there is a mark on my hand, a piece of who I am. This mark is not genetic; it did not travel with me from my mother’s womb as a newborn babe. I created this mark over time, not out of masochism but out of a desire for expression. Every fiber of my being needs the outlet, which this mark was crafted from. It has undergone painful pressure to extract jewels from within the caverns of my mind. It has endured a summer of agonizing repetition of symbols because my father taught me to believe these symbols are how people perceived me forever. This mark has stood against the fear of judgment, of failure during my childhood. This mark deems me a member of a brotherhood and sisterhood of human beings who express themselves through a visual form that has transformed over thousands and thousands of years. This mark is a simple callous, an indent on the middle finger of my left hand. It was formed over the course of sixteen years, years I have spent writing the English language to express myself, and it is my mark as a writer.

Always exploring my imagination, I am a writer obsessed with the unseen world. My passion for writing has led me to all sorts of mediums: novels, short stories, poems, and plays. Growing up in a small town in Georgia, I was exposed to many ways of telling stories. I now find that my own style is highly influenced by the fairy tales and folklore I heard as a child. Currently, I am spending my time writing, developing, and exploring the world of Telluria, a fae land filled with fantastical creatures, civil war, and two young women who are searching for their place in it all.
Earning my undergraduate degree in English from Kennesaw State University (KSU), I am currently living in Atlanta, Georgia and staying heavily involved with the theatrical scene as a playwright and dramaturge. My first play, I Wish…, was performed as a staged reading at KSU March 2015 during the 6th Annual Ten-Minute Play Festival. I feel incredibly blessed to have seen my characters and their personal journeys come to life on the stage.
When I amnot writing, you can usually find me reading the latest novel by the window, singing showtunes in the shower, annoying my younger brother and sister, dancing in the kitchen, laughing with my family around the dinner table, and watching the Lord of the Rings Trilogy Extended Edition in one sitting with the love of my life, Michael.
P.S. Yes, I mean all twelve hours in one day. And yes, I know I’m crazy.
