AN ADVOCATE, NOT A POLITICIAN
Ken Reid was elected to the Leesburg Town Council on Nov. 8, 2016 -- the top vote-getter among 7 candidates running.
He was initially elected on May 4, 2006 and was re-elected in May 2010.
On Nov. 4, 2011, he was elected to a four-year term on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, Leesburg District, serving from Jan. 1, 2012 to Dec. 31, 2015.
He served on the Board's Finance and Government Services Committee and Joint School Board Board of Supervisors Committee, which he chaired in 2012.
He represented the County on the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission, Council of Governments Region Forward Coalition, Northen Virginia Workforce Development Board and Virginia Assn. of Counties Transportation Subcommittee.
Reid was Town Council liaison to the Northern Virginia Regional Commission, Dulles Area Transportation Association and was transportation representative to the Virginia Municipal League.
He also has served as liaison to the Town's Economic Development Commission, Board of Architectural Review, Tree Commission and Standing Residential Traffic Committee.
