Bio
We are a new local history society for the fascinating and intriguing landscape on either side of the River Shannon at Ballina and Killaloe. Our twin towns contain a multitude of stories from the past.
This is our first year in operation. We have a series of talks lined up for Autumn 2017. These all take place in the local library, between the waters, and are completely free to attend. If you would like to get more involved behind the scenes with the society, please come along half an hour early, as this is when we sit around with a coffee and chat about future projects and plans. There is no membership fee, and everyone is welcome.
Keep an eye on our blog for news of upcoming activities, and you can also follow us on Facebook.
