Bio
I am an elementary school music teacher and piano teacher. Currently, I am working in two elementary schools teaching general music to students in Kindergarten through Grade Four. I have composed several songbooks for children that use music to teach facts in non-musical curriculum areas. "Sing a Song of Canada" has 22 original songs that teach about the history and geography of Canada. "Learn it with a Song: Science" has songs about science topics such as Outer Space, the Seasons, Meal Worms. I am currently working on a book that introduces elementary school children to Canadian composers such as Jean Coulthard and Harry Somers. In my spare time, I like to go to concerts and practice piano. I am working toward the Associate certificate from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto.
