A complex subject, I like lots of stuff. I've experienced interesting lives and want more!
Oh yeah - One life involved in - (They keep pulling me back)
I do radio- World Sound Radio.
90.1 FM, KC, MO, USA 1-3 CST Sun. streams at KKFI.ORG
I guess a lot of me is what I read and what music I listen to. I am also a product of TV, radio, and newspapers.
I have been in media my whole life because my dearly loved, recently-departed, and wonderful dad was the chief engineer at WGN TV and radio in Chicago. He took me to the studios at an early age and I remember the smells of the printing presses walking through the basement of the Chicago Tribune and the sounds and electrical smells of WGN transmitter as though it were yesterday.
Since those early days, I have experienced adventures in Africa, wandered around the academic jungle, taught from elementary to college levels, and been a government propagandist for federal volunteer programs.
Things I'm proud of: Getting a TRO pro se (shaking in my boots) against the Reagan Administration; helping start a community radio station; doing a radio show that turned people on to music of other cultures; being a good dad to twin boys; re-habing my 100-year old house (tore out walls, re-plumbed, rewired it myself), serving in Malawi.
