Bio
Karen Kovacik is a poet and translator of contemporary Polish poetry. Her books of poetry include _Portable City_ , _Metropolis Burning_ , _Beyond the Velvet Curtain_ , and _Nixon and I_ . She's the editor of _Scattering the Dark_, an anthology of Polish women poets, and the translator of Jacek Dehnel's _Aperture_ and one of three translator's for Krystyna Dąbrowska's _Tideline_. Her poems and translations of contemporary Polish poetry have appeared in American Poetry Review, Boston Review, Colorado Review, Denver Quarterly, Georgia Review, Poetry, Southern Review, and World Literature Today.
