Bio
Larry Short is a solution professional that takes responsibility for stakeholder success. His expertise extends to leading practices in project management and SharePoint governance. He has managed program metrics, forecasting, and tracking milestones; and is skilled at building effective collaboration between IT resources, project teams, and vendors at Global 50 and Fortune 500 customers within the Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Education, and Healthcare industries.
As a technology strategist at Microsoft, his primary responsibility was to provide technical help to achieve business objectives, which included the Microsoft Cloud, SharePoint and Windows systems management solutions. He managed pilot deployments of the Windows desktop operating system at public sector customers; and developed a program framework for alignment of Microsoft experts to meet wide-ranging client needs.
Larry is the author of “Cloud County Shorts,” a compilation of biographies, letters, and news clippings spanning seventy years of the Short families of Kansas. He holds a Masters in Computer Science and a Bachelors in Public Relations; and a long list of certifications, including Microsoft’s MCSE, ITIL Foundation, and the Project Management Institute’s PMP. An Evergreen State native transplanted to the Lone Star State, he spends his free time cycling around the Houston metro in search of the elusive tall sugar-free caramel, nonfat, single shot on ice.
