Bio
Linda Chassman is a licensed Marriage, Family Therapist in Colorado and California with over 25 years of counseling experience. She has maintained a private practice for 20 years as well as directing several agencies treating severe trauma and chemical addiction. Dr. Chassman is also an educator, teaching at CSUF and now CU Denver for 14 years, and consults to residential treatment programs throughout the US. She and her animal partner Norman have been using animal assisted therapy for over 10 years with a variety of clients, including children, adolescents, adults and couples. Dr. Chassman is the developer of Filial Pet Therapy, an approach that teaches parents to use a family pet as a therapeutic object for their child.
She is also the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Animal Assisted Therapy Programs of Colorado.
