Bio
I have worked for 28 years as a Professor of Music at Cal Poly, Pomona, offering instruction in saxophone performance, music education, music technology, woodwind fundamentals and director of the Cal Poly Saxophone Quartets and Saxophone Choir. I am currently Principal Saxophonist with Symphonic Winds of the Pacific, Orange County Symphonic Winds and PICWE. My orchestral experience includes performances with Orange County Symphony, Claremont Symphony, Riverside Symphony Orchestra, Redlands Symphony, West End Symphony, La Mirada Orchestra and Rio Hondo Symphony Orchestra. I have released a number of compact discs in 2002, 2004 and 2005.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from California State Polytechnic Univeristy, Pomona and a Master of Arts Degree in Musicology from California State University, Los Angeles. I have studied saxophone with Dr. James Mooney, Anthony Desiderio and Dr. James Rotter saxophonist for the LA Phil. Several of my students have gone to successful careers in music education and as professional saxophonists.
