A lovely female,. 'yeah, right🙄trying to improve life every day- physically,spiritually ,financially, along with my love life, and interactions with fir eds and family. I make fun of myself mostly-so no matter how bad things are for you you'll feel like a winner after my daily ordeals, most people around me, let down their guard somewhat, and either can relate- or I suck and they are laughing in my face- oh well...
I started this blog to educate or have others watch from a safe distance ,what, a cancer, patient may or may not go through.
It may make the decision to delve into this glamorous multi-million dollar industry( multi- billion) at LEAST. or possible pursue whatever options, your loved one may be going through.
I never used to get angry that I was the one, the citizen, mother,employee,wife that was got the short straw.
After a while,it is just human nature to watch T.V and say, 'oooh sure,' bet you'd change the shallow egotistical priorities in YOUR life if you got the dreaded, life threatening disease. In which it not only mystifies,the best educated scientists; but ;what's this... Innocent children die and break all our hearts- never understanding- who would DO this to a child?
I do not have an answer for that- but my third time through(proper terminology would be 3rd time cancer survivor.the new latest greatest torture and poisen they can try out , so exciting for them and stand back and watch the results. Excuse me..monitor the poor diseased soul- while more and more and more contract this out of control, killer of our loved ones.
So, I just got finished...With this last batch of treatment and have much information- in case you'd like to know from the patients point of view, instead of the patronizing looks from med students,FDA on up...the VERY BEST university-with a very confused look of attemptting to look well educated;and compassionate, at the same time...something Meryl Streep would struggle to pull off-so it's better just not to look- I am embarrassed for them.
Oh, but not the lucrative, ever profiting career they chose, oh no,no.
We all show them the respect they have certainly earned from so much education, and persevering against this war we all are waging to make it go away!
Hmm- instead of stamping it out, this monster has multiplied,and grown, and funded more and more research- almost as if someone out there,was turning a profit; while our family and friends turn in their graves.
Sorry to be so sinnical,but this really is a feel good happy story in my case. I honestly don't know about others. That's a sick sense of humor of humor to get me through all this.
