Bio
I've been helping to midwife the biochar baby for almost 5 years. I helped to take Biochar Engineering from start-up to acquisition as Executive Vice President; have lobbied internationally, nationally, and locally for biochar; led the Carbon War Room's Biochar Operation; spoke at TEDxBerkeley on biochar; and have eaten even biochar for breakfast (as more of a condiment than a meal). I am now a proud co-founder of The Biochar Company, a soup-to-nuts biochar company that develops ecosystems of organizations to support development, production, and distribution of biochar at any scale, in any location. I also consult for non-profits, environmental start-ups, and social entrepreneurs, bringing industry-launching expertise to mission-aligned companies to help maximize their potential. I do have a life outside of biochar-- I travel often, love standing on my head and sitting still, concocting herbal elixirs, and am learning how to DJ and Parkour (not at the same time).
