Bio
I've always liked to write, but the most I managed to publish during my teaching career was a few articles on elementary classroom projects in professional journals. In 2014 I finished THE AMAZING BIRD COLLECTION OF YOUNG MR. ROOSEVELT, a look at ten years of our twenty-sixth president's boyhood. I had found that his education was largely independent, and decided to use his fascinating collection of birds as a metaphor for it. I, too, am still learning independently, although there are more immediate resources now than during Theodore's time. "Being there" (real life) experiences still remain the best way to learn something new. I will share those along the way, too. I took my profile picture at the Sea of Galilee on a tour of Israel recently, where the Roosevelt family traveled after visiting Europe, 1872-73.
