Bio
Born and raised in southern Indiana and Muscatine, Iowa to some of the most loving and caring parents one could ask for. I made my way through life with only partial vision in my left eye, due to being born prematurely and a stint in the incubator. I survived the bullying and teasing of public school and more bullying still throughout the rest of my years at the Indiana Blind School due to my shy, quiet, nature. But along the way, have also met some really great friends, who have helped keep my chin up and never let me believe that I am a lesser than, despite what my past has conditioned me to believe.
My work is basically that of a laborer, which while not as fulfilling as it once was, is at least something more than what others like me are fortunate enough to do and more than some with the benefit of sight are willing to do. So I try and keep that in mind when I get down about it.
I enjoy audio books, mostly crime novels, some fantasy, good biographies and some science fiction. I am enthralled by the graphical capabilities of modern gaming consoles, but am more a retro gamer at this stage in my life, because those are easier to play with my limited vision. I play an adaptive version of softball called Beep Baseball and play for the Indy Edge. I like to swim, run, bowl, ride 4 wheelers and visit the beach when I can and travel to new places.
