Bio
I am 29 years old, with a Sport Journalism bachelors degree at the university of Bedfordshire (Luton campus.) I studied Sport Journalism and gained a 2:2 degree by the end of my last year in 2016.
Since then I came back to my hometown in Worksop, Nottinghamshire I found very difficult to even get an interview. Therefore I went for an interview at my local football team Worksop Town FC, I got the job on a voluntary basis.
I got the job in 2017 and I'm still currently working for the club, where I have overseen last years record breaking season, going on a 25+ game unbeaten winning run, resulting in Worksop being crowned champions.
The club since then has had a few twists and turns, with financial difficulties throughout this campaign resulted in Worksop facing extermination from the face of the football earth to being bought out and for things to be moving forward.
During this time I've not only become a better journalist, but I've learned how important contact building is. With us always looking to get more coverage for Worksop Town, I started re-building the relationship between the club and the local radio station Trax FM.
Where I now go on their football show once a month to talk about Worksop Town which is aired between 5-6 o'clock on a Friday evening. After building a nice rapport with the Trax FM presenters, I have now managed to secure some freelance work with the radio station at the start of this year.
The freelance work will give some valuable experience as the next level of my journalism career has hopefully taken a step forward to permanent work.
